Round Robin

National Poetry Month has sprung, which is a
great reason to celebrate with international
talent at Wimberley's own open-mic—the
Round Robin Review. Admission is free.

Join in a "mini British invasion" on Thursday,
April 9, 7-9 p.m. to experience the wonderful
poetic and musical collaboration of Thom Moon10 and Darrel Mayers.

Born and raised in Victoria, Australia, now Thom calls Austin home. He runs several poetry open-mic venues in coffee houses including The Hideout on Congress Avenue. Darrel, by way of Sussex and London, England, lives in Austin as well. There, he formed Mundi—music that has a medieval influence, played with contemporary instruments.

"We are celebrating Spring's arrival in original poetry and song," Thom said. "Bring your green planting seed poems and watch them grow on the night!"

The Round Robin Review is held on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month, 7-9 p.m. The next RRR is a costume party on April 23—Shakespeare's birthday! Bring your sonnets to honor the bard.

This lively venue's home is at Maui Wowi Hawaiian Coffees and Smoothies. Maui Wowi is located at 14200 RR 12 in Wimberley. Donations of non-perishables are accepted for the Crisis Bread Basket.

For more information or to be booked as a feature, call the Wimberley Wordsmiths at 512-638-7069.
